STAR NEWS ANCHOR RESIGNS AFTER SUCCESSFUL RISE!

According to reliable sources, Britney Vocis has resigned her post as Star News Anchor on SimTV shortly after she was given the position. Family and friends support her decision, but were not available for official comments. It is rumoured that Miss Vocis plans to move to another town with her five children after having lost her beloved husband Karim Vocis a few years ago.  Neighbours opened up eventually, and declared that the Vocis’ have been transporting boxes out of the house for a couple of years now. None of them could answer our question where Miss Vocis will be moving, and whether we will see her in journalism again. For now, her co-reporter has taken over the position, as well as the direction of the newspaper which Miss Vocis had gained two years ago. Read all about her life in tomorrow’s issue!

The last weeks had been more than difficult. Britney had very much been on edge about the upcoming move to Moonlight Falls, and all of the children had had to deal with more moody moments than before, if that was even possible. They all felt it was the right thing to do, but they also all wished it would be over already. After Christina and Cyra, the oldest twins, grew up tonight, the family would take the final step, which was to release Kokette in the wild. The girls were particularly sad about losing their unicorn, but they did not want to remove it from its environment and its town. It was better to let go, right after the girls grew up.

The entire family gathered together to celebrate Christina going first. The entire family? Not quite. Cyra had snuck outside, later claiming that she did not want to see her loser sister start her loser life. Until now, she still assumed she was going to receive the family heritage as soon as they had settled in. The others, however, cheered Christina on, even Britney took some time off.

Christina knew exactly what she wished for. A new start, the chance to shine and to get to know many people who liked her. Secretly, although she would never admit this, she finally wanted to get intimate with men. Not boys, men.

The clothes she had picked out beforehand fitted her perfectly, and she could not wait to go out for the first time. She was ready to meet people, and she was ready to break men’s hearts before they could break hers. For so long, she had been suppressed and ignored, while nobody cared about her feelings. It was high time she escaped from the position of being hurt.

Naturally, Christina did not attend her sister’s birthday celebration, either. Instead she waited outside in the car for her family to be done with all the fuss. Cyra did not mind, as she still believed her life would be glamorous the second she entered adulthood.

Her brother Christopher’s friend, who had been invited over this afternoon accidentally, gasped as he saw how Cyra had turned out. A person who looked closely could already see the evil behind those grey, sharp eyes, but it was questionable whether any man would mind.

It was getting late. Britney made the call to the previous owner of the house she had bought from her gratuity, to tell them they would leave in a bit.

Kokette was confused that she was released into the wild, as she did not know what was happening. After every family member hugged her for the last time, she turned around and was gone within a blink. There was not much time to cry over her loss – the kids and Britney quickly got into the car and got going.

The next morning, the Vocis family arrived on a picnic area in Moonlight Falls. This is where Britney dropped the bomb that especially changed Cyra’s and Christina’s lives forever.

Author's Notes: And the end of Generation 2 is upon us! During the last weeks, Britney has exclusively focused on reaching the top of the Journalism Career, which is the only requirement for Gen2 that had not been reached until the end of last chapter. All the others were fulfilled, as you will be able to see in the following post.

Tune in again for the start of Generation 3, and for many huge surprises from our heiress.

  1. Moonlight Falls! That will be entertaining! Will there be supernatural creatures, then?

I really like the tough girl look you gave Christina. Was her teenage trait Rebellious?

Both girls have very distinctive faces. I'd love to add them to my town!

    1. Yeah, there will be supernatural creatures! It's actually the only neighborhood I use them in, because the others seem to "realistic" to contain vampires and the like. Realistic being a strong word for The Sims.^^

Oh, I missed to tell you guys their traits? Let me make up for that in the next chapter! Honestly, I don't recall her teen trait right now, but it wasn't rebellious. I think Hopeless Romantic...? But her hopes got smashed down by all those people who ignored her...

I'm going to put up the Sims for download, thanks for the suggestion! :)

    2. I'd love to have the boys too! And Karim, even if he's separate and I kill him immediately; It would be good to have the grandparent genes in the town for when the Gen 3 Vocises have children.

I managed to get so few boy teenagers. There are a few more boy children in town who will grow up, but overall girls WAY outnumber the boys in for the mate prospects in this town. I guess that serves me right for setting the population to Random from Balanced in StoryProgression. It's worth it to have apples and watermelons work again.

    3. I like Random better than Balanced, because it's more authentic. But I do see your problem. ;) What struck me most annoying about Balanced is that it ignored apples and watermelons in my active household, and I had boys when I (and my sims) were desperately wishing for a girl and even ate those watermelons like crazy..

Haha, your comment about Karim made me laugh out loud. I guess he is not all bad, he just had a very particular way of dealing with his children. :-/

    4. I agree. Once I figured out how Balanced worked, I didn't like the idea that the gender of someone's child was determined by a global monitor of all the genders in town. It did have its advantages, though. I would have been OK if I could opt the active family out of the calculation.
